Detailed description
Introduction

The radiant panel flame spread tester uses a gas heat radiant panel to test the flammability of building surface materials (ASTM E162) and foam plastic (ASTM D3675). The flame spread index (IS) is determined by factors such as flame spread and heat dissipation. It is used as a necessary parameter in many industry codes, especially for public transportation (trains and buses). Data collection and analysis are automatically completed by the software.

Features

• The frame structure is made of stainless steel; beautiful and corrosion-resistant;
• The reflector is made of a cast iron frame. The surface of the reflector is made of porous fireproof material with a size of 305X457mm. The working temperature is 815 ºC.
• The filter is equipped with a fan to supply air to the reflector.
• The device has a pilot light, electronic ignition, automatic flameout safety monitoring device
• There is an observation point every 3 inches on the stainless steel sample holder for observing the progress of the flame front.
• The pyrometer can measure the surface temperature of the radiation plate, including the bracket. The temperature can reach 815 ºC.
• Stainless steel sample holder and pilot burner device.
• Air flow meter, gas control valve to control the mixing of gas sent into the radiant panel;
• The stainless steel exhaust pipe has a detachable part, which is convenient for cleaning the thermocouple. The exhaust pipe is equipped with 8 thermocouples according to the standard.
• The calibrated burner has 1.8mm holes in 16 different angles and needs to be along the centerline.
• To control the surface temperature of the reflector, the blackbody temperature of 180 ° C ~ 230 ° C needs to be set to an accuracy of ± 5 ° C. It is suitable for observing the surface temperature of a reflector with a surface radius of 250MM outside 2M.
• An insulated thermocouple is attached to measure the temperature of the stack.
• Imported heat flow meter (round foil type) to test the heat radiation condition of the radiation plate (0 ~ 100kW / m2).
• DAQ system can realize automatic control and measurement.
• Gas safety control and circuit cut-off device.
