Application :It is the most widely accepted apparatus for the measurement of smoke from burning materials and measures specific optical density under flaming and non-flaming conditions. It is also used for the extraction of toxic gas.

What is a NBS smoke chamber?
The NBS smoke density chamber (ASTM E662) is the most popular test instrument used to measure smoke obscuration. In its standard use, it can accommodate only samples in the vertical orientation.
What is a smoke chamber used for?
